Student’s Name Tutor’s Name Course Date Teen Pregnancy Problem Teen pregnancy can be defined as the state in which underage girls get pregnant. Notably, underage girls are below the age of twenty which apparently is the legal age which indicates the boundary between teenagers and adults. The rate of pregnant teenagers has been on the rise within the past two decades. This has triggered concerns by the government and private organizations since this issue has significant effects on many aspects of life (Weiss 203). For instance, teen pregnancy significantly affects the country’s economy as it increases the rate of school dropouts, it has led to high mortality rates as well as healthcare costs due to abortions, and it has crippled social development. Per se, this problem needs to be mitigated to help teenage girls who are vulnerable to pregnancy, their families and the nation at large. Purpose This paper seeks to critically examine various issues which affiliate to teenage pregnancy and come up with solutions that can help reduce its rates. Facts about the causes of teenage pregnancy will be used to postulate the solutions to the problem. Counterarguments to the solutions will be analyzed, and the research will conclude by pinpointing the stand. Audience The audience of this work is specifically fellow students and professor. Therefore, all research conducted will be aimed at providing findings and therefore a write-up that will benefit this primary audience.
