Werther did not actually think she would stay engaged to Albert. His desires and love of Charlotte were not enough to sway her decision. Love as humans know it today, as not changed much since those times (Wellbery et al., 388). Love can hurt or heal; in this case, the pain was for everyone. These next paragraphs will embrace the authors writing and detail the details of this memorable love triangle epitomized in a one sided view from Werther. It is a heart-rending story. Werther poured out his heart in his declarations of love for Charlotte in his writings. They were cousins, and this fact did not dissuade Werther from this fatal attraction style, one-sided love triangle. Even his aunt attempted to talk him out of it. "Take care," added the aunt, "that you do not lose your heart." "Why?" said I.
