SCHOOL ABANDONMENT: A problem that is increasingly worried

In pandemic contexts, school abandonment is not a minor topic. The lack of connectivity, devices and the organization of time at home have made education a feat of heroes. Innumerable are the teachers who allege that it is a minimum percentage of students who during the first quarter delivered the work. Just ask any father to answer us if your child has delivered the tasks on time, only those who achieved an excellent time optimization, good connection and availability of devices will say they are up to date.

When we talk about school abandonment, we refer to the student’s dropout, when the educational establishment does not concur and does not end the mandatory schooling years. School abandonment is a social problem. Those who do not complete the mandatory training that the State sets does not have the necessary knowledge to be successfully inserted in the labor market. In this way, they can only aspire to get informal or precarious jobs, without the possibility of progress. It can be said that these individuals are at a disadvantage before those who did complete their school studies.

The schools that record the greatest dropout are those that meet the educational needs of students with a low NES. Unfortunately, for many families, hiring an efficient Internet service means disbursing a lot of money, so the State has distributed activity booklets to cover priority learning of each level.

One of the main disadvantages of distance education is the difficulty of monitoring the educational trajectory of each student, therefore their needs cannot be attended. The learning chronologies of each student are of the utmost importance for the accompaniment of their trajectory. The adaptation of the curriculum for students who have learning difficulties has become an odyssey for those parents who do not have training to make a correct accompaniment to the child.

In these times we are going through, empathy is the basis for the construction of an education that allows the student to continue their studies, that does not see school as an obligation, but as an opportunity, a key that opens thousands of doors loaded with dreams of dreams for fulfilling, of emotions and freedoms.
