Operations are seen as being the sections of the business that is concerned and in charge of manufacturing goods and offer services. In this case, goods are the physical items such as raw materials, parts of computers (subassemblies and even final products from a production like cell phones and pens. On the other hand, services are regarded as activities that provide the full and detailed combination of location, time, form and even psychological value. As such, the environment around us is filled with numerous examples of goods and services which assist us in our day to day activities. Everything you eat, read, watch, send, every phone call you make, every medical treatment you receive, all these are examples of goods and services. Therefore, it is evident that operations contribute a huge chunk of the economy and as such a prominent contributing variable in the occurrence of various events around the world. The understanding of operations in a business organization can be viewed from another perspective.
