Modern abortion: normative criticism
Abortion is the end of pregnancy by extraction or expulsion of an embryo or fetus before it can survive outside the uterus. In other words, the extermination of the fetus in the pregnancy process. An abortion that occurs without intervention is known as sexual or spontaneous abuse. When deliberate measures are taken to finish pregnancy, it is called induced frustration, or frequently, ‘induced spontaneous abortion”. There are different reasons why a woman aborts. Among these are not being able to keep the child or daughter economically with their own quality of daily life, the fact that the woman is not emotionally prepared to induce a young, or that the woman in cases could be sexually abused and does not want to have theson or daughter. Others abort for their age or for their own or fetal pathology. In my opinion, a woman must have the option to abort, since in certain cases women do not abort end up giving their daughter or son very bad care. Equally, I do not think it is fair that certain women do not plan to have a pregnancy but because they are abused they must raise the son or daughter even if they are not stable just because abortion is not an option.
The unspecified word generally refers to an induced abortion. In some countries abortion is legal at the request or demand of women depending on gestation time. On the contrary, in other countries abortion can only be achieved depending totally in the cause of pregnancy. In some abortion is penalized in jail, for a certain amount of time, since it is demanded as illegal. In countries such as the United States, Uruguay, Canada, India, the countries of the ancient Soviet orbit and most European countries, abortion is legal depending on the situation in which the woman is. On the other hand, in most Latin American, Middle East, Africa, Oceania and Southeast Asian countries, abortion is illegal and penalized in some of the assumptions. Only five countries prohibit the interruption of pregnancy under any circumstance and typify jail sentences for every woman or person who performs, try or facilitates the realization of an abortion. These countries are city of the Vatican, El Salvador, Malta, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. In Malta, the only type of abortion is allowed is if it is de facto, which would serve to save the mother’s life.
Approximately fifty -six million abortions are committed every year in the world, with about forty -five percent of them made insecurely or in other illegal words. This is because women do not have the choice to be able to do a totally adequate and healthy procedure depending on their situation.
Religion is another factor that defines and influence the woman’s decision when she wants to end the life of her embryo. Around two thirds of women making the great decision of without abortion is the best choice, they doubt whether to abort, for their religion. Although politics affects the legalization of abortion, integral, personal and spiritual decision not only affects the decision, but in some cases determines the consequences of a person. For example, believers in God consider that abortion is a sin and that is why if a Christian decides to make the decision to abort is considered denigrated by God. Certain people believe that depending on their beliefs, you can do certain things, one of them being induced abortion, fatal abortion or spontaneous abortion.
Abortion must be considered a personal life choice and should not be controversial towards society, since if a person does not feel in the position or at the right time to have as great responsibility as what it is to have and raise a baby, you should not have to doubt to get the obstruction of your pregnancy. If a mother knows that she cannot give a life with everything fair and necessary to her daughter or son, she should not have to be forced to that. This causes more likely that this child is not raised in a healthy environment. It must be considered that a woman in this type of situation should be able to implement her opinion and decision, since it would affect her life. Beyond, if a woman has been sexually abused, there is no accurate reason why she has to form the life of another human being. This said, abortion is not only an choice based on controversy but, something personal that must be decided by the person who will accept its consequences.
