I guess the cold temperature that morning worsened the situation. I could feel a burning sensation that even gave a headache for the rest of the day. I tried several remedies to calm the pain. First I thought of brushing the teeth, but the pain could not subside. I also took some painkillers such as aspirin, but that did not offer any solution. It was only later in the day that I passed through a local chemist, and the attendant recommended the use of Tylenol. It was quite useful since it helped in totally calming the pain (Melzack, R. 1987). Tuesday Date 5th Jan Time 4 pm Pain Scale 9 (severe) Medicine and Dose Nitroglycerin 1*3 Medicine side effects Slightly makes one feel sleepy What made the pain better today A lot of relaxation What made the pain worse today The heavy work in the office of carrying books The pain had started the previous evening after I took a walk from school and midway it started raining. I did not have any substantial clothing, and due to the massive rains, I had to shield myself at some open shop. The storm was windy, and that could have resulted in the cold getting to my lungs.
