Introduction.

Bullying is a phenomenon and social problem that occurs regardless of class and cultural or economic level. It has its greatest prevalence in early adolescence, around 11 and 13 years. For this reason, we have prepared this article on bullying in primary education. In the last primary courses it is when a lot of cases of bullying are produced and initiated, even more than in high school. Therefore, if from the first courses, awareness and awareness of the issue of school violence are worked, the number of people affected by it would be reduced in the short and long term.

Developing.

Keep in mind that primary education students are in full development of their abilities and competencies. Thus, depending on age, they acquire certain skills: in the age range of 6 to 12 the feeling of autonomy and the need for independence develops. Between 7 and 9 years children begin to be aware of social norms and the sense of ridicule. Therefore, it is important for them to feel accepted and valued by their friends. It is an ideal age to teach them to share, negotiate, cooperate and know how to accept failures in social relationships. 

Around 9 and 10 years begin to separate from the family world and establish a loyalty commitment to their friends. So that, at this stage they must learn the value of personal effort and to put aside comfort. From 11 years, due to physical changes, there is an increase in insecurity. They also want to appear that they are older and mature. Therefore, they can challenge authority with pride and the group of friends acquires a very relevant place in their lives.

In short, it can be said that primary education students is characterized by the need to approval their peers, giving great importance to the opinion of others. The first feelings of exclusion appear before the different, before the people who are not within the social norm. Because of this, they have to learn to:

  • Do not judge people. 
  • Put in the place of the other  
  • Look for solutions 
  • Be consistent with their actions.

Measures against bullying in primary education

It is important to act against bullying in primary education. Since, thus, children learn from an early age to react to intolerance, provocation, to reflect on the multiple ways of controlling anger, to be generators of new proposals, to look for solutions and stop believing that conflicts are alwaysnegative. In this way, positive social relationships are achieved and a non -violent interaction is encouraged.

Thus, the inclusive school defends an education focused on promoting a coexistence based on citizen values and good practices, such as:

  1. The Solidarity.
  2. Respect.
  3. The tolerance.
  4. The participation.
  5. The responsability.
  6. The commitment to the public. 

In addition, the inclusive school guarantees that all students have access to quality education, based on equity and equal opportunities. In this educational context the differences must be met and the specific support and aids that the most vulnerable people must.

 Similarly, the education system must build democratic and participatory social spaces, socially enriched, that facilitate learning and put the emphasis on interest in living together, learn, understand, communicate, relate, act and project towards the other groups. It is about focusing on real presence and participation and implies fighting any form of exclusion, which is considered a process that is never over.

Conclusions.

 In conclusion, it should be noted that, one of the purposes of education is the integral development of the person in all its dimensions of development: physical, cognitive, communicative, social, cultural, moral, emotional and emotional. Therefore, a harmonious balance of the development of all these dimensions, enhances positive coexistence, which affects the reduction of cases of bullying in educational centers.
