Student’s Name: Course: Instructor: Date: Biographical Information Saint-Exupery is one of the famous authors. He was a pioneering aviator, poet, aristocrat and a French writer. He was born on June 29th, the year 1900 in Lyon, France. His early education is traced back to Jesuit schools and a Catholic boarding school (1915-1917) in Switzerland. Saint-Exupery who was the third child out of five siblings was raised up in an aristocratic family around his siblings. At the age of twelve, he had his first aircraft ride. In 1922, he received pilot’s wings and also begun to write. Most of his literary endeavors were largely inspired by his adventures as a pilot. The literary endeavors ended with the publication of the little prince in 1944. His father succumbed to a stroke in 1904 after which her mother together with his siblings moved to Le Mans in the year 1909 ("Antoine De Saint-Exupery Biography" N.p). He didn’t manage to pass his final exams at the university but later enrolled at Beaux-Arts to pursue architecture. He later started as a mechanic in 1921 and later the air force in Strasbourg. However, his relatives objected his decision to join air force despite having flown as the age of twelve. Exupery later settled in Paris after taking an office job where he began to write. L’Aviateur’ is Saint-Exupéry’s very first tale published in the literary magazine in 1926. His career as an author took off in 1928 where he got a promotion to be the Director of Cap Juby Airfield.
