Student’s Name Instructor’s Name Course Date Abstract Calvinism is a religious movement that influenced the formation of the Dutch State from the Roman Catholic Spanish possession. The emergence of Protestantism orchestrated the separation of the Netherlands states from the Spanish ruling. The Reformed Church’s contribution at the time of the Golden Age of the Netherlands in the 16th and the 17th C were significant. The utilitarianism and beliefs of the Calvinists enabled the establishment of capitalism and usury in Netherlands.
