Geography of Poverty 1. This work is based on highlighting the income inequality experienced in the United States. According to the Author, the rate of national poverty is dramatically increasing in the United States, and this threatens the economic stability of the country. Today, many families are struggling to acquire money for food, quality education for their kids or even secure a good job. This has forced many parents to work in more than three jobs in one single day. In poverty conditions, there is no clear definition of survival and success. Therefore, the article has surveyed almost 70 cities in America in the quest of determining the rate of poverty as per every States. 2. Consequently, popular public figures like President Obama has commented on the threat posed with the high rate of poverty in America. In a conference that occurred at Georgetown University, Obama suggests that conservatives and liberals should join hand and work together in quest of establishing a suitable solution to the increasing poverty rate. According to Matt black a popular photographer, the rate of poverty varies from one city to another. It is also noted that people with low income are residing far away from the cities. This data suggest that poverty is a national crisis that has also influenced the president to talk about it. This data makes feel concern since the United States will face the threat of becoming a third world nation if things are done right to solve this issue. 3.
