Abstract Fitness can be defined as the state of having a good health due practical exercises and proper nutrition. Physical fitness enhances the interrelation of human fitness. The following provides what fitness is all about, its effects on the mind and the body. It measures the well-being and the capacity to perform occupations and daily activities. The effects of fitness on the body are shown on the body skeletal muscles and the endocrine organ. Fitness enhances body muscle contraction releasing a myokine substance. Myokines help in promoting the growth of new body tissues hence reducing the chances of developing inflammatory diseases. Exercise is the most efficient remedy for depression. Endorphins help in minimizing physical pains associated with exercising. With increased blood flow in the body muscles, the brain will start to function better.
