Crisis: Beginnings, Causes, Consequences

The crisis is a situation that is going through a certain subject or system, which is usually serious and as a consequence of this the normal development of a process is exposed. This situation that is faced occurs in an un programmed way, it commonly shows no signs so that the body that will be affected can take the necessary measures to control it in advance. Because of this, their consequences are usually partially or totally destructive.

With what has already been mentioned, we can analyze this topic under three stages;Home, Causes and Consequences.

Its beginning is unexpected and surprising; Therefore it leads to an unstable system since the affected individual in that room does not have the means to counteract it. This is presented when the system apparently has firmness and suddenly tends to create a series of negative effects that directly affect the assets of an organization.

The causes are generally a set of past events that slowly accumulate until they reached an unsustainable level; That is why at the time of looking for a solution, it is vital to know it.

Apart from the imbalance in the system, a crisis can bring with it the origin of another type of crisis, as we can cite the example of the crisis in Latin America in which a political crisis brought with it an economic, social, emotional crisis, etc.

Since each of these affects an essential point of the stability of a structure as important as society is. It should be prepared for these moments, since there is currently more information about this social phenomenon.

The various types of crises that have been developed during the history of society are varied. We have often talked about an economic crisis since this depends on the economy of a country and the confidence of a population for a proper functioning of a good living. But what about? of the social and political consequences that this entails.

You could briefly talk about some of the sequels resulting on a financial or economic crisis such as unemployment, change of consumption habits, loss of assets, reduction of the ability to obtain a loan, reduction of entrepreneurship, these and many moreare the consequences of a crisis that affects a structure. The same as if they are not properly controlled could lead to the collapse of a society.

Here is the importance of possessing the appropriate information, trying in a certain way that each of the members of a society have an exit at hand, whether it is large or small. Do not depend on a single source of economy, to energize this so that in those moments of pressing the blow is not so strong and can get out of this episode.

After the causes of a crisis, the consequences come, they are mostly negative due to misinformation and that the system is helpless, after this bitter episode comes the recovery or stagnation stage, the same as if it has thenecessary help can lead to the individual or the organization involved and unlike generating a problem could constitute an impulse for it to be strengthened from this fact.

Now it is important to emphasize the important role that a political and social crisis currently plays. And not only pay our attention in an economic crisis.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CRISIS

An episode of crisis crosses by several stages, which are fulfilled in a specific order, these being of greater or lesser magnitude depending on the type and number of individuals or structures affected.

A circumstantial crisis has the following characteristics:

  • The crisis is characterized by its temporality, that is, it consists of a beginning and an end but that urges an answer, in addition to implementing procedures and plans, all this will be very helpful to combat or end the crisis.
  • Many times the crisis is anticipated but the corresponding importance is not given or it is thought that it will not be something so serious; In other words, we ignore signs that are presented, we den.
  • In the crisis the situation occurs or materializes without being expected, urgent decisions are needed in a short time, specific threats must be identified, urgent demands of information are received, it seeks to locate or know who is guilty although the reputation of theOrganization is declining.
  • The crisis causes organizations to feel a degree of vulnerability, in the same way there is a feeling of loss of control of the situation, reactions that can worsen the state of the organization are generated, therefore its collaborators have uncertainty.

There are three purposes of crisis management is the prevention, survival and results, which will help the positive balance either successful or failure and that will help us build capacities to control not planned events or how to face another crisis that has been in the future.

The good management of a crisis that has expanded in the members of a society can have a catastrophic purpose as we can show in our neighbor Venezuela or this can be less intense as it has been evidenced with the United States who has already suffered several crises and withoutembargo tries to return to that desired balance.

The crises are exacerbated when these depend on external factors, for example an economy that depends on another such as Mexico and much of the Latin American countries, since finding a solution is limited to the power that the affected structure has. The healing process to this type of eventuality will be given according to the type of crisis.

At a certain time of our life we have all gone through a crisis, this has probably been emotional, which is the most common in our environment. But not the only one, the crisis can be given in all kinds of field such as: emotional, social, economic, political, sanitary, etc.

The magnitude of this episode will depend largely on how prepared we are to face it. But it has already been mentioned that it appears surprisingly, if so. But the information is one of the ways to mitigate it, as well as the small signals that usually present, do not subtract importance from certain events or phenomena will help us to be more instructed to face a moment of crisis.

For any situation (pre -problems) in life we must be clear about what is crisis?, Crisis is a set of important consequences, unexpected events, deep and catastrophic changes that occur in a situation that becomes serious and the existence is endangered, it can test the institutional consistency.

A crisis is defined among others as a difficult or complicated situation, or as a shortage, loud. Also as an important mutation in the development of other processes, whether physical, historical or spiritual. That commonly occurs in a disease either to improve or aggravate.

Thanks to the crisis there is a daily slope or the routine is broken, this occurs because on many occasions we do not know about the events that may happen or if they are known, we do not attend to time or do not take precautionary measures so that the situation does not get worse. The crisis is temporary is not forever, it depends on our actions to be able to overcome this stage the same one that consists of a before, crisis (destruction) and an after.

What to do in a crisis?

We can ask ourselves 3 respective questions when did you start?, Why has it happened? (Causes), who is affected? (Interest groups), so that organizations analyze and have ideas or take strategic actions to end or attack the crisis.

The making of a decision is one of the essential moments by wanting to cancel a crisis, since this depends clearly on the help that the patient or the organization receives and more than that the fortress that the individual tells, we can conclude that muchof the results, that is to say that these are positive or negative is in the predisposition of the affected party to achieve a rapid change. Since if not, this can last for years, and even decades.

Information is a really useful tool when facing an episode of crisis since it allows us to align our efforts with the firm objective of getting out of that problem. It is important to note that Ecuadorian society is currently going through a social crisis, clear signs of this are distrust by the population towards politicians, towards the judicial system, towards the control and justice agencies and unfortunately our civil institution alsohas been affected due to the various recent episodes occurred.

And we as part of the institution by palpating these indications are obliged to do something, so that this level of distrust minimizes and avoid as far as possible to a social crisis, which apart from causing rebellions, strikes, dissatisfactions, violence will be the cause ofa national instability and this will have an impact on other aspects of our life not only to our institution, but our family, our country to our future.

How can we do it? Easy to evidencing our vocation, committing us to common well -being, with the development of our country, working together to achieve that well -being in our society. Let it clear that we are not only an ethics manual or a doctrine we are in essence a permanent practice of irreproachable behavior both in the fulfillment of our functions and in our private life. Perhaps it will be something ninfimo, but it will create a precedent and if we do it well, it will surely mitigate that distrust of our institution.

And with this we will be preparing for that moment of social crisis that is coming, because let’s accept it is to come.

The crises are acute moments, where our strength is threatened, they are drastic episodes for which we will usually be fully prepared, but the really important thing about these moments is the feedback that we can achieve thanks to these experiences. Let us learn from the crises of our neighbors, of the measures taken, whether they are correct or wrong, being there simulating as a simple spectator will not help at all, the contario in case of facing a crisis that will charge us very expensive. So this is the time to learn, to rescue the lessons that can be evidenced now with the case of other structures.

If a moment of crisis is undesirable, but it is imminent, we have nothing left but try to inform ourselves, to seek possible solutions, to achieve greater social stability now and with that in a certain way we will be delaying or mitigating the consequences of a future crisis.

Let’s look at this society as a single structure, let’s look for a common good always. Treat as much as possible to improve from any field in which we develop, that is the best way to support a country, a society that is already staggering, but not criticizing, exposing, cheating. That will only help create more precedents for a future strong crisis. And remember that the crisis is not only economical or emotional, but it influences any aspect of our society and is there around and looking for the minimum carelessness to create a chaos.
