Creating an Effective Curriculum Name Institution Creating an Effective Curriculum Reflective Learning Journal #3: I chose creative curriculum as my model, which is a program designed to meets the primary or basic needs for the children. Typically, this model tries to balance both the teacher directed and children-initiated learning. Also, it emphasized responding to kid’s learning styles as it builds their strength or interests. The latest theory and research practices are applied in this curriculum to help children become independent, self-confidence and inquisitive learners. Kids are taught how to learn throughout their lives at their own pace and in best ways. In so doing, they can develop better habits, attitudes or a definite sense of themselves. Thesis Statement: helping children become enthusiastic learners is an essential curriculum goal. Below is a list of topics that may need be covered under this curriculum model: • Theory and research incorporated in the model • Ways in which kids develop and learn • The learning environment for children • Interest areas structured in the model • What children through creative curriculum model • The role of teachers and family One of the Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT) principle is that; it is vital to have a partnership with families and communities.
